Road man

The Artist was darkly fascinated by the evolutionary possibility of humans merging with machines. In this image, a person is biometrically enhanced to become a moving vehicle. In this view of evolution, the Artist also saw a historical analogy with the machine world his father had worked in as a coal miner in South Wales, and later in the Steelworks after the local pit closed down.
